This handmade & hand painted REBECCA JUG boasts a colorful drip-glaze finish in a swirl of purple, green & white. As you can see, the handle attachment (on the outside of the rim) and the spout formation are the known techniques of C. C. Cole wares.
It is virtually impossible to locate original C.C. Cole Rebecca Jugs of this age in such exceptional condition as this!!!...The best examples of C.C. Cole Rebecca Jugs are permanently housed on display in the North Carolina Pottery Center Museum, and there is no question, this example is a Museum worthy piece!!!
There are no chips, cracks or damages ... adding to its collectibility!!
The Rebecca Jug measures approximately 5" TALL x 2-3/8" WIDE x 2-1/4" Front to BackIt is signed on the bottom as can be seen in the photos.
