1979 GOTTLIEB GENIE PINBALL MACHINE, GOOD SHAPE, PLAYS, SYSTEM 1

We are offering this 1979 Gottlieb Genie pinball machine. We took this in on trade, it appears to have been well maintained. Included and installed by the prior owner is a new Ni - Wumpf System 1 mpu board to replace the old troublesome mpu. A new Rottendog Gottlieb System 1 Power Supply. And a new Solenoid/Lamp Driver board from Boston Pinball Company. Please note, these replacement boards were installed over the past few years, they are not brand new as of today.  The game is pr...etty clean and works, except for the following intermittent issues we noticed. Sometimes the 4 bank target in the middle of the playfield does not reset. Sometimes the sound stops working(original sound board, new replacement available from Rottendog). It appears that 2 transistors on the driver board were repaired/replaced at some point and perhaps these are causing the intermittent issues but it is unknown.The playfield is in pretty good condition, very smooth, the only significant wear is above the upper lanes(see pic). The plastics are very nice, no cracks. The cabinet artwork is in very good shape, minimal scuffs and flaws. The backglass has some flaking but looks good overall and could be touched up. All the displays work great. The playfield rubber is worn and should be replaced and the playfield itself should be cleaned. We did nothing to this game except, turn it on and played a bunch of games to test it out. It can ne played now. But before you use it extensively it is recommended that it has standard pinball maintenance performed(replace rubber rings, bulbs, clean and wax playfield, check voltages, boards, connectors, etc...) If the buyer wishes we can explore the option of having one of our techs do this work for additional cost after purchase or the buyer can do it themselves and save a lot of money. This game is nice enough to also consider a full restoration, would not take much to get this close to mint condition. This machine is priced low because it is being sold as is with no guarantees, no returns or refunds.

TERMS OF SALE:All sales are final. We will accept returns on brand new items only. Defects must be reported via email within 48 hours. Customer is responsible for return shipping cost. Item must be return shipped within 2 weeks. We will determine at our sole discretion if item was in fact defective. If so we will either ship a replacement or we will refund the cost of the machine minus the original shipping cost. If item was not defective then customer will also be charged a 20% restock fee.
