This is a great old large framed photo of a Civil War Union soldied with his rifle that has had color added. Great pose by this soldier and he has all of his gear on including U.S. Buckle, pouch, rifle & bayonette, etc. No idea of the identity.....came from Ohio. When one replaces the backing, the back of the photos many times had the soldiers name on it, hopefully this one has it. Frame is very old and has neat colored details on the corners. Frame seems solid, some small flakes of th...e gold color are worn away here and there. Backing is what they did in the day....using cardboard....not very archival proper these days. I hope the new owner will have a proper backing replaced. This is just a great Civil War framed photo ! Frame measures 22 and 1/2 " by 14 and 1/2 ". Bid Early and Bid Often !
