DEEP PURPLE DEEP PURPLE Description Mega rare original first printing concert poster advertising legendary DEEP PURPLE at the Stadthalle in Offenbach [Germany] on Tuesday, 9th June, 1970, presented by Peter Hauke. The show in Offenbach was part of the band’s May/June European tour in support of the Deep Purple In Rock album, produced by the band themselves and released on 3rd... June, 1970. It was the band’s fourth studio album and the first studio album recorded by the classic MK II line-up. Rod Evans and bassist Nick Simper had been fired in June 1969 and were replaced by Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, respectively. The album was supported by the hugely successful "In Rock World Tour" which lasted 15 months. Striking artwork by Klaus Holitzka with the artist’s imprint to the center of the bottom border.
The poster measures exactly 59.3 x 84.2 cm (approx. 23.3" by 33.1" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, uncoated paper stock.
