Signed Kongshammer for Jens Kongshammer (1884-1954) A Danish born artist who studied at the Academy of fine arts in Copenhagen before moving to Paris to paint. He is well known for his post-impressionist European street scenes and heavy impasto paint work is his trademark. The oil dates back to the early 20...th century ( 1940s) And is titled: Venedig, ( Danish for Venice) . A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work.Condition:Ready to hang. In good condition. The oil could use a light cleaning due to the old age, Otherwise fine with no holes, tears or missing paint. The original salon frame has minor scratches due to the age.
