ANDRE MAUROIS, French author. Autograph letter signed and two typed notes signed (all in French), 4 pages, measuring approximately 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" and 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", on printed letterhead of Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park, Surrey, 12 July no year, and 23 and 28 June, 1934. To the author Gerald Gould, offering to read Gould's study of Byron, commenting on the book, and arranging a meeting: "Je serai tres heureux de lire la piece que vous avez ecrite sur Byron. Je vis en ce moment aux e...nviron de Londres; voulez-vous venir un jour me l'apporter?. . . ." Some soiling and edgewear, smearing and creasing; staple or pin holes; one letter with ink notations on the back in an unidentified hand; else good.
