An Abelam coconut shell water vessel from Kuminimbus Village, mid 20th century, . Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On Jun-05-19 at 10:01:41 PDT, seller added the following information:
Measures approximately 6 inches in height and 6 inches wide. Excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. Collected in the late 90s by an Australian dealer from an elderly man of Kuminimbus, who said he had it from his grandfather. Of particular note is the free-verse design of great complexity ...covering most of the surface of the shell container. Absent is the usual, expected vocabulary of design elements of the Abelam artist; rather an abstract linear improvisation.
