EAPG BEAD BAND WINE CORDIAL GLASS THOUSAND EYE BAND 4 1/8 Inches Circa 1880 ' S
Item History & Price
My photos do not show just how beautiful this glass is in person! Up for your consideration is a 4 1/8 inches tall wine or cordial glass produced circa 1880's and the pattern is known as Bead Band aka Thousand Eye Band. The manufacturer is unknown at this time. No chips, cracks or repairs noted but there is a straw mark as shown in the 2nd to last photo - EXCELLENT antique condition!
Please view all photos as they are a major part of the description (zoom ...in). If you have questions or a need for more photos please contact me prior to bidding. Most pieces have been lightly cleaned or dusted but a thorough cleaning is left to you.
In EAPG this glass is most likely catalogued as a wine glass but today it may be referred to as a cordial due to its size. Information regarding this item has been researched on the EAPG Pattern Identification website (eapgpatterns.com) and also on the EAPG Early American Pattern Glass Society website. CONDITION: My items are antique, vintage, or collectible items purchased at estate sales and such therefore, pre-owned and most often used, so please expect some wear consistent with age and use. Wear can consist of tiny nicks and/or scratches caused by utensils use or stacking, browning and crazing.
Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) made during the Victorian era (1850 to 1910) and glass up through the 1940's and 50's can have processing imperfections such as air bubbles, pin holes, streaks or straw marks, tool marks, rough seams, uneven bases or legs, size differences, inconsistent color, glaze coloring and misses - all of which were normal for glass made during these times. These manufacturing imperfections are not considered "damage". I am not an expert and I describe conditions in detail however I may miss something along the way.
