KENNEDY (1917-1963). Kennedy was the Thirty-Fifth Presidentof the United States. His assassination at the hands of Lee Harvey Oswald whileriding in a parade in Texas sparked a nationwide mourning.62 pieces. An archive of autographs, documents, andphotographs related to John F. Kennedy and his famil...y. The contents includephotographs and ephemera relating to the John, Jackie, Robert, and JFK Jr., their political careers, and their deaths. Highlights are: a) A two-page, typed account of Lee Harvey Oswald’scapture, twice signed “Officer M. N. Nick McDonald” by theofficer who captured Kennedy’s killer.b) Letters, cards, and photographs signed by peopleassociated with Kennedy, including friends, family, and members of hisPresidential cabinet. (Additionally, a few autopen, secretarial, and photocopiessignatures appear in the archive.) The items are in fine condition overall and are collected inplastic sleeves inside a white binder.
