*Up for sale here is a very handsome and attractive looking hand cut, polished and paneled whiskey advertising back bar bottle from Louisville, Kentucky. This pre pro example would date from the 1890's era to about 1905. Bottle is in near mint condition, and so sparkling clean. There is an in-making factory fl...aw on the top side edge of the lip, which has been finely polished at an angle, as seen here. This was done when the bottle was made originally at the glass plant, by the cutter and polisher. Overall mint. It is finely polished and cut with the alternating ribbing on the body. Bottle is hand blown. The hand cut lettering on the bottle has been filled in with the original gold gilded paint. *It clearly reads ~ "FAY-MUS / WHISKEY". This brand was used by the J.C. Wallace Co. in Louisville, Ky. They had different back bars made, one completely cased in gold gilding, as well as some etched shot glasses. This bottle is very showy and "fills the purpose" for the back bar. Bottle is in the cylindrical fifth size, and measures 11 inches tall, and 3 3/8 inches in diameter. You will be quite pleased with this stunning looking piece of distillery history, from the state of Kentucky.
