This is an estate purchase. A really cool pair of vintage/antique eyeglasses. With cobalt blue color lenses. I looked with a magnifying glass to see if I could find any markings on them. I think the holes were made on the end of the pieces that go around the ears to carry on some type of eyeglass holder chain piece. But on the outside of one side, embossed or imprinted in the material are some letters "EVELAND" and I think where the hole was made there was a 'CL' and it said "CLEVELAND..." and the other side has a "GH" But, I think where the hole is was a 'PU'. A close-up picture taken of this. From what little bit of research I was able to do, I think these were manufactured in the mid to late 1800's By PUGH FOUNDRY in CLEVELAND OHIO. The glass lenses still look to be intact and considering the age, being used, what I would consider to be in good, used, old/antique condition. There's some color wear, discolorations, patina and places on the metal piece. I am selling as I purchased. I haven't taken time to clean. 12 photos uploaded that I hope will help speak for the condition and description. Thanks for your interest and looking :) Low starting bid. No reserve.
