Wonderful large, bold dated signature of Russian born composer Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) on an album page taken from an autograph book. Page measures 6 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches. Stravinsky is a giant of classical music and probably the most famous and influential composer of the 20th century. Works include 'The Rite of Spring', 'The Firebird', 'Petrushka', 'Pulcinella' and 'The Symphony of Psalms'. He was also a highly regarded conductor and pianist.
On the verso is the autograph of leg...endary Austrian pianist Rudolf Serkin (1903-1991). An outstanding artist, he is regarded as one of the greatest interpreters of Beethoven.
