Civil War Confederate Dug D-Guard Bowie KnifeThis is an original Civil WarConfederate dug D-Guard Bowie Knife from the estate of Mr. G.T.  Harrison from Richmond Virginia. The knifewas dug by W.E. Mercer on April 26, 1862 at the site of Wade Hampton, NorthCarolina Cavalry winter camp of 1862-63 at Brandy Station, Virginia. This knifewas purchased with hundreds of other dug items from that area. The knife is inuntouched condition and all complete except for the wood handle.  A... clear coat has been applied to stop it fromrusting. This is an all original dug Confederate D-Guard Knife. The knifemeasures 18” long overall with a 13-1/4” blade. The blade is 1-5/8” wide at itswidest point. Please e-mail me with any questions.
