Vintage Vietnam Era USAF Anti G-Suit. Condition is Used. As pictured- in excellent condition. Obtained from an estate sale of a retired USAF Colonel along with several other great items. I also purchased his license plate collection so I could follow his career from college somewhere in DC area in the late 50’s/early 60’s, through flight training in Texas mid 60’s, through more and finally where he retired as base commander of Moody AFB, Georgia. He flew primarily the F-4 Phantom.... This is the real deal of an authentic fighter pilot- I lived the same life at the same time in the USN, and this G-suit is identical to the ones I have and wore (although the Navy G-suits leg zippers zipped from bottom to top). We called them “speed slacks” as only high performance jets warranted their usage. Each G-suit was personally and painstakingly individually fitted to each aviator with a complex lacing system, carefully hidden by the numerous zippers. Squadron parachute riggers and ejection seat maintenance personnel performed this function. The foot long tube/hose you see, plugged into a cockpit fitting which inflated internal Bladders in the G-suit proportionally with aircraft G-forces. This G-suit is a size small.This is a wonderful item and its condition is outstanding
