EARLY TRENCH INGERSOLL WRISTWATCH, RADIOLITE. BLACK DIAL. LEATHER BAND.
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:134506 | Display: Analog |
Band Material: Leather | Brand: Ingersoll Rand |
The case is in superb condition & the lugs are the solid type & quite attractive.
Original leather band, old & brittle, but still intact & quite good looking on the watch.
This watch runs & stops. It doesn't keep good ...time. After all I have not had it serviced for at least 30 years and it goes back to World War 1. It's called a trench watch , the earliest American made wristwatch to see war action.
It's large- 39m/m without the crown. 45m/m with the crown. The crown has to be pushed down hard to engage & move the hands.
If you want to wear this historical watch daily, I would suggest a competent servicing. Otherwise use it and show it as I always did, as such.
