Antique Electric Shock Therapy Machine Circa 1890 A fantastic electric shock machine dating from the end of the Victorian Era, contained in its original wooden box with both of its original brass probes. There is a gilt metal winding handle which attaches to the front of the box and turns the gilt wheel inside. There is a large magnet in the box which induces the current. On each side of the box are terminals where the metal probes would be connected. The box even comes with ...its original working key. Approximate Measurements :Height of box : 4 1/2" (11cm)Width : 8 1/2" (22cm)Depth : 4 1/2" (11cm) I have not attempted to test the machine as far as whether it generates a shock so it is being sold as seen. However I can confirm that all the parts move as they should. It is in good condition for its age. The box has picked up some scuffs and knocks over the years but nothing major. The wires on the probes have been replaced at some point. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions at all please ask
