Extra fancy and fat open pontilled cathedral pickle jar. It is dark aqua colored with an exterior rolled lip. All four sides have fancy decoration with three having an extra design element. This pickle jar was dug in a Civil War winter hut in Northern Va. and has been cleaned. There are a few pieces of copper stuck in the bottom of the jar and in the pontil scar that I didn't try to remove. I am sure you can get them out with a bottle brush and a pin, but I am leaving that to you. I di...dn't wash the jar either which would make it more shiny as well. The cleaning job was done well. It has a few scuffs remaining, a little open bubble on the inside of the lip, and there is a little pot stone on the base with some iridescence around it & a couple little lines you can see with 8x magnification googles. It stands 8 3/8" tall and is 2 3/4" wide. This jar came out of an old collection I recently purchased. The pictures are accurate as to its condition. Please look at my other auctions.
