S : Sealed at factory and never opened. Record is assumed to be undamaged and mint, but this cannot be proven until the album is actually opened and the disc examined.M : The record is in brand new condition, absolutely perfect.

NM : This grade is used for records that appear virtually flawless but not perfect. Few minor scuffs can appear on the record.EX : The record shows signs of having been played, may have minor scuffs and scratches but nothing that is obvious.
VG+ : Visible surface wear, scratches and scuffs.VG : Noticeable surface wear, scratches, scuffs.When you buy a used (30-60 years old ) vinyl, it might come with some dust, maybe not. If there is some dust, just make sure clean it before you play.
