ELECTRIC PLANEProfessional power plane in good used condition. Sole is 17 3/4 inches long and 3 inches wide. Cutters are 3 inches wide.SKIL Model 100, Type 2. 115 Volts AC or DC, 5.5 Amps. Serial Number 980704. Made in U.S.A.A professional industrial tool used by skilled carpenters in the sixties and seventies, the Skil 100 quickly became the preferred plane of surfboard shapers.This example is mostly original, a significant modification is the installation of a 15-foot power cord.Used... condition. Silver paint is scratched, scraped and a little blistered. Sole has typical light scratches and some discoloration (see photos). The nickel plating on the fence is a little scratched and rust-discolored, one of the fence wing-nuts is a replacement.Depth-of-cut adjuster has the original "click" adjustment which works as it was intended.Tool was recently professionally cleaned, serviced and adjusted at my local tool shop. Noisy ball bearings were replaced with new ones and a new 15' cord was installed. Cutters are very sharp and do not have any nicks or chips. I lightly tested this tool and it works great.
