Pennsylvania Land Grant issued 1796 for 1077 acres to William Bingham signed by Governor Thomas Mifflin, small pieces missing top border, folds, otherwise very fine condition. Mifflin served in the Continental Army as Quartermaster General rising to the rank of Major General, was elected President of the Continental Congress in 1783, was a signer of the Constitution, was President of the Pennsylvania Supreme Executive Council from 1788 to 1790 and was the first Governor of Pennsylvania... 1790 to 1799.
