It is a nicelydesigned Sick Call Set, that is, a Sacramentary Service box forholding religious items possibly used when a priest or EucharisticMinister visits home or hospital for private ministrations. This set wasissued by the American CREED Company circa 1960s/70s in its nicelycompact design. The solid black deckled leatherette box measuresonly 5 by 4 by 1 3/4” deep. The interior contains a fine gildedbrass crucifix, 3 1/4” long, which may be stood upright in thecenter, a...nd two gilded brass wells for holding the two miniaturebeeswax candle covered glass holy water bottle with cut metal crosscenter and sprinkler cap.The black stripattached on the inside lid, holds in place a fabric purificator of fine Irishlinen, and an absorbent cotton pad, as well as a small blue foldergiving instructions for use.Condition isgraded near MINT; it has never been used, and some items onlyunwrapped for photography purposes. Some very slight wear is noted, however, only on the underside of the holding box- a collectibleliturgical accessory.
