A crude early 1860s Pikes Peak Old Rye Pittsburgh glasshouse marked historical flask....FOR PIKE'S PEAK (boldly emb arched over top of prospector with tools and walking stick....OLD RYE in oval under his feet, all bold emb on front....PITTSBURGH PA (bold emb in oval on back underneath an eagle with banner) ....Hand blown in mold, bimal...ear...ly smooth base with 1/2 circle hinge mold seam....crude drippy applied collar....aqua...pint...7 3/8"tall...Sparkling attic nice with only a small 1/8"natural hairline stress crack on the surface under the applied ring on neck; this was from when the blowpipe was snapped off the neck and lip applied. No other damage. Shiny clean with no haze. Flask displays perfect! You have to really look close to even see the small flash/hairline on the side of neck. You can see it in the last pic. This is a great looking flask with bold crisp embossing.
