For Steve Only Antique 19th C Bass & Co. Pale Ale Beer Oval Brass & Wood Frame

This is what I believe to be a very rare antique 19th century Bass and Co. Pale Ale Beer advertising frame.
I am uncertain as to exactly how old it is, but it is certainly 19th century. Please use your judgment.
Overall it measures 9 3/4 inches high x 8 1/2 inches wide (24.8 cm x 21.6 cm). The back opening size measures 7 3/4 inches high x 6 1/2 inches wide (19.7 cm x 16.5 cm). The molding width measures 1 1/8 inches (2.8 cm).
I believe this originally had a print or similar a...dvertisement for the company.
The base of the frame is made of wood and it is covered with a molded brass.
It is marked BASS & Co. on the bottom, with two matching marks on either side of that. I’m not sure what they represent though.
The frame has scattered dings, scratches, scuff marks, tarnishing and general wear. Please use the photos as your guide.
There are two holes on the bottom of the frame where there may have been small legs (please see photo). Perhaps there was a stand in the back also. I’m just not sure though.
It has what is probably its original bubbled and wavy glass, though it has a few deep scratches and chipping around the outer edges.
It weighs 8 1/2 ounces (244 g).
