Original Swiss Army Pigeon messenger message large belly capsule vest. Swiss cross is stamped on the tube, see pics. The Swiss military has used messenger pigeons since 1914, throughout WWII and for many years after. This is a New Old Stock (NOS) item that has never used. Made out of light metal, it is light gray in color and measures 3 inches in length and 2 inches in width, at the widest point. Attaches to a pigeons chest with small fabric straps. Last two pictures are period shots s...howing the device. Please note that the pigeon in the first picture is just used for reference and is NOT included. Very rare and hard to find piece. In like new condition, with minimal storage marks. Great military collectible, or use it on your carrier pigeon!
