I used to collect photos and military documents, and I donated a huge amount to museums - the ones left over are duplicates or lessor-quality items than my donations. Passing on history:
Interesting little shot of an Aussie "Catalina" ashore. Its a late model, with built in landing gear (pre-war models had "beaching gear" that bolted on and off). Serial number clearly visible, easy to research.
The PBY Catalina is iconic to military airmen and sailors - no aircraft is... more recognizable as the SAR asset, the airplane here to rescue you. Starring roles at the Battle of Midway ("Sighted enemy fleet! Please notify next of kin.") as well as the rescue of the crew of USS Indianapolis ("Jaws" story) and hundreds of other rescue stories. They served around the world from 1938-1970s, and there are still examples flying today.
