Welcome to Bigals Pandoras Box, treasures to suit every pocket This auction is for a good quality inlaid mahogany cased, 8 day mantel clock with a good mechanism.
The clock is a beautiful probably French clock made around the turn of the century
The clock has a beautiful inlaid design as shown in the photographs. Also good stringing around the outer edges of the clock
It stands well on its wooden baseThis clock measures approx 9.5 inches tal...l ( 240mm ) and 7 inches wide ( 175mm ) by approx 3.25 inches deep ( 80mm ). The clock dial and is in good clean condition with hour numerals on the inside and minutes on the outside of the ring, as shown. The face shown just a little rippling in the plastic type covering but nothing major , just to do with age and the modern heating systems
The front glass is clear and clean
It is key wound and the key is with the clock as shownThis clock has been wound up and has run for a few days now, keeping good timeA piece of this age is forced to have a few usage marks and if you require perfect condition then this is not the piece for you.
