This is an excellent Stereo card of President Grant's tomb on the Hudson River, New York City, New York. It is from the rare Underwood & Underwood United States 100 card set from about the early 1900's. The card is titled "Honored resting place of Gen. Grant, outlook N. up Hudson River, New York." with a negative number of 5323 and a position number of 100. This card is in excellent to near mint condition but has some stains on the tops of the photos (mostly in the sky). It measur...es 3 1/2" by 7”. Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
Domestic buyers (including Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, APO, or FPO) to prepay $8.50 shipping and handling for insured Priority Mail (mailed in a box) or $4.75 for First Class Mail (mailed in an envelope between two pieces of cardboard). All US shipping charges include tracking. Please add 9.50% California State sales tax if delivered to an address in California.
