Up for bids is a J.A.N. No. 1 Uniforms And Insignia 1943 WWII Book. This is a hard cover string bound book made from sets of plates. These came in loose plates in a box or in a bound version such as this one in a box, but I do not have the box for this one. The cover has some writing on the front otherwise the cover is in good condition and the interior pages are in very good condition. This book was prepared by the Military Intelligence Service and the Division... Of Naval Intelligence. It was obviously well researched and has extremely detailed illustrations of the uniforms and insignias. The book has illustrations of Uniforms and Insignias of the following WWII nations: German Army, German Air Force, German Armed Elite Guard, Italian Army, Italian Air Force, Japanese Army, Japanese Navy, Russian Navy, British Navy, Portuguese Navy, Swedish Navy, Turkish Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy, Greek Navy and French Navy. In the back are several plates of U. S. Military Medals, Ribbons and Badges. This is a very detailed book of WWII uniforms and insignias and is very interesting for military historians or enthusiasts. U. S. sales only, please. Pay Pal preferred.
