Original Description:
In this auction you are bidding on a large plaque and award grouping. These items belonged or were awarded to Retired Brigadier General Stanley O. Smith. I personal bought these items from his estate sale late last year. Brigadier General Smith was a 5 time Vietnam veteran. He (To my knowledge)flew the most B-52 Bombing missions during the Vietnam war. He had a total of 431 combat missions flown over the skies of Vietnam. In this grouping you will receive 12 framed pictures/awards, two ...mugs (Loring, AFB & a PlayBoy club), One sterling USAF plate, his desk name plate with b1 bomber, 6 assorted patches, one b1 bomber sticker, a notebook, and a 1968 dated map of Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. The map is torn but might can be repaired by stretching it out and framing it. I do not think that the airplane pictures are the actual photographs, I believe they are prints. I personally took these awards and pictures of his wall. He had fallen ill and his wife was literally selling everything in the house. I was a few hours late and other pickers had cleaned out most of his patches and other memorabilia. Feel free to make me a offer, I paid up for all of these items, the wife knew how important her husbands career was.
