Vintage Dazey No. 44 Quart Glass Churn with Wooden Paddles
This is a wonderful vintage Dazey ChurnThis just a wonderful example of "farmhouse chic"This is one of the harder ones to find....it's shape is unique as is the churn mechanismGlass Churn jar is "pear" shaped with a series of "ribbed" ridges along the outer edge of the glass for grippingTop churn mechanism is encased in a "football" shaped metal encasement that is the original red colorTop lid is missing the small metal "scr...een" that covers the small opening on the topPaddles are original and are woodMechanism works exactly as it should and paddles turn freelyGlass jar portion is undamage...no chips, cracks or repairsThe cast iron crank handle, etc. does have some minor surface rust and wearThere are scuffs, scrapes, scratches....all of what I would expect from an item of this age and use (see pics)Bottom of glass churn jar is marked.....DAZEY CHURNPAT APP FORNo. 4MADE INST LOUIS MO U.S.A.DAZEY CORPORATION
