Keystone Stereoview SPHINX & Great Pyramid, Giza, EGYPT From The 1920’s 400 Set

This is an excellent Stereo card of the Sphinx and great pyramid of Giza, Egypt. Several men are on the Sphinx and a man & his camel are in the foreground. It is from a Keystone “Tour of the World” 400 card set (the cards are numbered 1 to 400) from the late 1920’s. The card is titled "Great Sphinx of Gizeh, the Largest Royal Portrait ever Hewn, Egypt." and is numbered 233 with a Keystone negative number of 9781 T***. This card is in excellent to near mint condition and me...asures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject. Please note that due to the flash used when I photographed these cards, the printed title at the bottom looks a little washed out in some pictures and a few have a little glare. The Stereoviews are fine with the title just as dark and clear as the rest of the printing on the card. I will be listing more Stereoviews on a regular basis, so check back for more views. Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
