You are bidding on a vintage AGM American Gas Machine 3927-A dual mantle white gas lantern. Undated, but most likely from the 1940s. Has steel burner tubes and manifold as would be typical for mid-40s war time products. This lantern is in great shape and very clean. A true survivor from over 70 years ago.This lantern is from the estate of a fanatic gas lantern collector who took the time and effort to meticulously restore all his lanterns. It is ready for use, or permanent display. The... paint job on this lantern is very good and all mechanical parts appear to be in working condition. I have NOT fired this lantern up because I do not want to fire mark the burner tubes, however, I have pumped it up, opened the valves and everything appears to be in working order. It has a new cap gasket, leather pump cup has been soaked in neatsfoot oil. The check valve has some leak back, I'm sure it can be fixed by removing the valve and cleaning it. The lantern can still be pumped up and used if you hold the pump while closing the valve. This is how the lantern was found on the shelf. Has a nice red letter Coleman Pyrex globe and is in great shape with no cracks or chips.A few minor scratches on the fuel tank font. Original AGM ventilator has a few minor chips here and there, again nothing horrible. No fuel has been put in the tank, so it will not have any fume odors for shipping.Payment must be received 7 days from auction end or item will be relisted.
