IROQUOIS CHINA SYRACUSE NY PILOT BUTTE INN BEND OREGON OR RESTAURANT HOTEL WARE. Condition is Used. 9" in diameter.
No chips no cracks. There is utensil wear. some edge oxidation and wear. It still has sheen but when tilted in the light you can see it saw service. Not mint and I've seen worse. On the back /bottom of the plate, at one time, someone had written 15- in permanent marker. Then wiped it off. I've only noticed it recently and though it was cleaned off some of it rema...ins as a ghosting. Odd.
K2 date code is 1925 so this has some pretty good vintage povenance to it. Just think, in 6 years this plate will be 100 years old! Unfortunately someone in 1973 thought it would be wonderful to tear down this magnificent symbol of Bend history. Obviously the proprietors of this establishment we're proud enough to put this image on their plate. Thankfully , because it is no longer there.
