Hello! Here we have a great quart ale L. Blocks Bottles in a deep olive green. A real tough bottle to get and especially in this nice condition. It has never been cleaned and has good strong embossing. The letters have been highlighted with a paint marker but would easily wash off if unwanted. I am not sure the last time one of these have been offered for sale? Some nice drip on the applied top and an awesome crude base! A few spots of roughness on the top as seen. Loaded with seed bub...bles and I held it up to the light for you to see the true color. Could be rinsed out but I have not done anything to it and it displayes super!A pre-civil war ale, Leon Block made both ale and soda water. He was located at 6th St & Market St. in St. Louis from the late 1840's to 1854 when he moved to Leavenworth, Kansas. Don't miss this great early ale as who knows when you night see another! A great addition to a nice collection. Stands right at or just under 10 inches tall, and 3 3/4 inches wide. A nice clean looking bottle that doesn't need anything but proudly displayed on a shelf!
