Original Description:
Up for your consideration is a Wedgwood (of England) white on pale blue jasper (jasperware) candle holders or candlesticks. The light blue bodies of the candleholders are decorated with white applied garlands of oak leaves and acorns around the opening for the candle and around the base. The body of the candlesticks also have reeding or grooves and a laurel garland impressed design under the top lip.
The candle holders stand 2 inches tall, measure just about 4 inches acros...s the base, and weigh 11 1/4 ounces.
The bottoms are marked Wedgwood - Made in England. There is also 70, capital U, and a capital M in the middle of the base.
The candlesticks are in excellent, like-new condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs of wear or use.
