New Fan! Here it is. The part you need. This is a copper heatsink/fan assembly for many Megatouch games.
First of all, this heatsink/fan will work in ALL Megatouch Force games. That includes the EVO and Elite Edge machines, which need a low profile heatsink/fan to clear the cabinet. &n...bsp;
This will also work with ION EVO and ION Elite Edge games with the ECS motherboard. The ECS board is the purple colored one.
When the ION games were first released, they came with an all aluminum heatsink/fan combo. Shortly after that, Merit realized that the aluminum heatsinks were not adequately cooling the CPU, and so, they started installing copper heatsink/fans on the games. However, there are still MANY ION games floating around that do not have the copper heatsink installed. You can tell because the heatsink will be very light, and usually black in color.
Anyways, install this, and your game is certain to run cooler.
One other advantage to this is that the retention clip covers all the tabs on the CPU socket. So, if you have a heatsink that only covers the middle tabs, and one of those tabs breaks, this heatsink/fan will get you back in business!
The heatsink is used, however, it has been cleaned, and a BRAND NEW CPU fan has been installed. Since the copper portion of these doesn't really ever "wear out", this is basically new. The fan is a 60mm Foxconn. It has the standard 3 pin connector and will plug directly in to almost every motherboard from this era!
