The Tan covers were printed for the most part between 1925 and 1939 when the Standing Scout cover came out, but few were still printed into the mid 1940s. Most say there are four Subtypes defined by the address on ...the cover. There are some sub-sub-types with changes of badge type. Subtype C is usually the most rare and many topics don't even have the Subtype. As the years go by Subtype A is getting about as rare. Here is how to determine the subtype.
A = 200 FIFTH AVE NEW YORK CITYB= TWO PARK AVENUE NEW YORK CITYC= TWO PARK AVENUE NEW YORK, N.Y.D= BOY SCOUTS of AMERICA Two Park Avenue, New York, N.Y.
Indian Lore, Subtype B, Oct 38 printing, 82 pages. Became a badge in 1932 so missed half the time of tan pamphlets so not many and only 2 printings with Subtype D like this one. Other than the name on the cover and name and address on the first page, I would call this MINT. Never used. Pages are still white. Spine as tight as the day it was made. An excellent rare book.
Shipping is $3.00 per pamphlet with $.50 added per pamphlet up to 5 pamphlets for $5 shipping. If you buy more than 5 shipping is free. I don't care if one person buys all 78. It will still be a max of $5.00. So if you buy more than 5, the rest are free shipping. PLEASE DO NOT PAY TILL I SEND AN INVOICE. If you pay for shipping of multiple books, e-bay charges me a fee for the price of shipping. Thanks for fast payment, but the only one that wins is e-bay.Books come from a smoke free home. They have been in sleeves, in boxes in a dark closet in a climate controlled room for years. Great preservation.
