Hello, this auction is for an awesome vintage used wristwatch as described below: Please view all pictures as they are considered to be part of the description. Maker-- Unknown There is a makers mark on the case of a " U " in a circular mark As best as I can make the inscription reads Presented to , Sgt S. G.(?) Bills , ----RAF--- , From the 100 Boys , --Trained --At Regents Park , London. VERY RARE !!!!!! Gender--Men's Case Material-- Sterling silver with hallmark...s Case Color-- silver Movement Type--Manual Wind Jewels-- yes , No makers name . Running--Yes--Vintage estate item . The watch runs approx. 5 minutes slow a day - clicks some when winding , covers lifts okay but can be a bit sluggish at times -no mechanical warranty is included-sold in as-found condition.Untimed. Watches offered without warranty but have been tested to be in running order using the following method-watches are wound up one day and then checked to see if they keep running the next morning-approx. 24 hours. Functions are also checked-date -day-timers functions etc. Any function problems that we find at the time will be noted or corrected. Watch cases are sanitized by steam and ultrasonic cleaning methods so that the new owner won't have the previous owners dirt and grime to deal with. If for some reason the case can't be cleaned we will note that. Dial Condition-- original as shown . glass crystal - hands may have been replaced in the past . Case Condition--very used !! imperfections as shown . Back case cover had ding marks as shown and is quite thin. From cover is better with wear to the inscription as shown but still quite visible . Band-- 12mm nylon one piece Case Size-- 43mm Wire Lugs End to End , 35mm Across the case not including the Crown Special Features --Please be advised that water resistant style watches will need to be checked and sealed for use in a wet environment. Timing and Adjustment may be necessary after delivery . Great find for the wristwatch collector ! One was from a Jewelry store that closed in the 1970's and had been a jeweler and watch repair person in business in Southern California for approx. 40 to 50 years. The other collection is from a long time collector and repair person from Northern California. A lot of the descriptions are taken from the tags or label that were attached to the watch , watch part, tools etc and please use your own knowledge for correctness of the description. I will do my best to correct any inaccuracies. Please be advised that we have no service record of any of the watches from these estates and that cleaning , oiling and general servicing is recommended and more than likely required.Please be advised that any watch with a screw back will not be tightened completely and a new or replacement gasket will be needed . Any snap back type will be closed but a gasket will also be needed . These tasks will need to be done by the customer.
