Pale Grey Celluloid.

Here for your consideration, a lovely "cigar" shapedVintage "Swan" 3230 Lever-Filling Fountain Pen......in beautiful Pale Grey celluloid......with Gold plated trim.
Manufactured by MABIE TODD & Co. England......in the late 1940's.
It is......overall, in very good ord...er throughout and made to very high standards of quality.__________
The round topped Cap is in lovely condition...some light marks from use......no cracks or breaks..
The "ball-end" Gold Plated Clip is in beautiful condition....it has the SWAN logo at its top...it is very securely in place......very little wear showing ...it shines up beautifully...
... The twin Gold plated Cap Rings are also in great condition...no wear to the plating.
.......The Cap tightens up and posts nice and securely on to the barrel.
________________ The beautiful 14CT Gold, No2 "quite" Flexible Nib is "Medium Fine" tipped......it writes Medium Fine to Broad+, I would say...responsive, and a delight to write with.

The Barrel is again, in beautiful condition... ....no bad marks, breaks or cracks.... it has a very clear "crisp" Barrel imprint ......It reads....

...around the base.
The very long, sturdy straight Gold plated Lever is in excellent condition...again, no wear showing.The Lever- Filling system is in great working condition...

Overall, a very beautiful, quite large, "SWAN" 3230Lever-Filler ....with an excellent Medium tipped, Semi-Flexible Nib.......manufactured by the great Mabie Todd Company, in great condition....
..a very collectable and usable pen...you will not be disappointed with its writing qualities... Showing only light wear commensurate with very careful usage and age.__________
The pen has been test filled and then flushed clean....and finally, given a light polish._______
Pen size is 12.7 cm capped and 15.5 cm posted....___________
