Please excuse any glare in the photos. This vintage decanter is marked on the bottom "Creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co D-334-145-62 Copyright C. Miller 1962 Genuine Regal China". The decanter was created in honor of West Virginia's... centennial in 1963. The decanter is rectangular in shape and features a red cardinal over the raised outline of West Virginia and a raised relief depiction of Blackwater Falls. Main colors in this piece include gray, black, dark green, blue, bone, and red. Gold paint embellishes much of the piece as well. The stopper is present and the cork is in great condition. The decanter stands at 10.25" in height, including the stopper. It is 8.00" across and 2.75" wide (measurement taken at the bottom). Stickers present include: the West Virginia Liquor Control Commission, Genuine Regal China Handcrafted, 100 months old Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and the Internal Revenue sticker/tape across the top of the stopper. This is a previously owned piece. It is empty. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the decanter. The stopper is present and in great shape. The inside of the decanter is clean and white. This decanter is a great throwback to the artistic and decorative efforts of the alcohol industry.
Unwrapped this piece weighs 1 pound 12 ounces. Once properly packaged the weight will be between 2 and 3 pounds.
