c.1940s Vintage Ships Wheel Advertising Thermometer for "TRUCK WRECKING CO." 4 3/4" dia. In the picture, it looks like the face has a couple of yellowed discoloration areas - actually, when you rotate the piece in the light, a globe grid emerges and you can see all of North & South America. The yellow spots turn out to be Alaska and the U.S. The domed glass has a lot of scratches, and as you can see, someone scratched the heck of the back - it looks like they removed a mountin...g piece or something. The temperature seems to be right...not "mint" but still a cute little advertising piece!
