Unique, older vintage 8¾"H x 8¾"W x 17¾"L wormy, burled walnut hardwood carpenter's helper (?) or boot scraper (?) is of pegged mortise & tenon construction, and has beveled base cornicing, with an angular top shorter rail. The solid, 1-pc. base is 3¾" thick. As the photos indicate, this antiquity experienced its (un)fair share of dry rot and worm-holing. However, this only adds to the rustic charm of this 15lb. primitive. Definitely a conversation piece to display around your ...colonial fireplace display or related collection.
