A Delightful English 8in Fusee Railway ClockWhat a fabulous small size 8in fusee wall clock! This delightful clock was originally used on the railways and you can faintly read 'L.N.E.R', along with G.N.R. There is also what appears to be the word 'LEEDS ?? under the number 7367 on the dial and 543'?? under that .Please see pictures. a hand painted number '7367' which may suggest either the station it was used in or perhaps it was used by another railway company prior to L.N....E.R? The hands look like 'Johnnie Walker' hands which are typical of the type he produced. The bezel is cast and needs a piece of glass. This is a genuine railway clock which is in the same condition that I discovered it as I don't restore clocks myself. Perhaps it would be possible to trace the station or signal box where this item was used via the numbers on the dial. This is an 8in dial which are always much harder to find and the case is original and untouched. In the right hands this clock will restore beautifully. The case does have some old paint on it and there is some loss to the veneer. Both side and bottom doors are present and the lock to the bottom door is also there. There are two pegs which appear to be odd while the pendulum looks original. There is also a key with this item. This is a rare and very interesting railway clock which is sold as seen for restoration, not working with no returns.
