PEDDLERS ON HIGHWAY, SUBURB OF SHANGHAI. ALBUMEN PHOTOGRAPH CIRCA 1880s to 1890s. SIZE: Circa 10-1/2 Inches x 8 Inches. CONDITION: The photo, never having been framed, does not lay flat. There is a slight crease on the upper left hand corner and a minuscule piece of the upper right hand corner absent. . There is a tipped-on contemporary (of the period) caption in typewriter script on the back. "PEDDLERS ON HIGHWAY, SUBURB OF SHANGHAI"" is also written in pencil at the lower right rea...r corner (verso) in a neat contemporary hand. A contemporary signature (Lansing?) is also present on the lower right rear corner. Overall, a very good specimen.
