This auction is for a Spectacular 1923 New Orleans Crescent Texas Negro League Baseball Team Cabinet Photo .This photograph is housed on its period mount, which measures 11.5 by 13.5 inches.
The photo has great clarity, and in very nice condition.The players have monogrammed NOC on their chest, and a gentleman in the back row is holding a pennant with NOC, and New Orleans stitched on it.Also in the lower left corner is marked Champions N.O.C. 1923.The New Orleans Crescents, or also ...called the New Orleans Crescent Stars were a member of the Texas Colored League in 1923. This League included the following teams: Austin Black Senators, Beaumont Black Exporters, Dallas Black Giants, Fort Worth Black Panthers, Fort Worth Wonders, Monroe Southern Giants, New Orleans Crescent Stars, San Antonio Black Bronchos, Shreveport Giants, and the Tulsa Black Oilers.A great early African American Baseball team photo.I automatically and gladly combine shipping on multiple items won.
