FromBoy Scout Staff Member Worlds Fair Vintage CollectionThese were collected and kept beautifully intact all these years from a collection of items from a Boy Scout who was on Staff both in 1939 and in 1940. The Boy Scouts had a large contingent and were part of the official staff for the World's Fair in New York. The last photo, which is NOT included in the sale, shows one of the several envelopes the scout had many of the mint condition souvenirs and his pennant (All Scout rela...ted items have been turned over to Scout museum display and not available.) Some have BEAUTIFUL COLOR LITHOGRAPHY - the graphics on these old pamphlets, brochures and booklets are outstanding!From Transportation Area at 1939-1940 New York World's Fair - Official Brilliant Color Airline Map Pamphlets by the PANAGRA (Which is PANAM's South American Routes) and Transcontinental Airlines or TWA. Historical Look at 1939 Highways and sights! Facts & tourism, photos, statistics, etc. - Look at US & NY life in 1939-1940 is fascinating. With some photos, statistics, tourism, etc. Still in GREAT condition - the color in cover and map has NOT Faded At All !!! World's Fair Pavilion. Interesting display show piece for your World's Fair or Airline Map collection. Looks like some of the BEST Items TO Get. Here is your chance at some RARE World's Fair memorabilia. What is interesting is that there was a war already going on in Europe and the countries still able to participate. Most say Worlds Fair in them, some do not. Some photos had different lighting - so some may be more bright than others. Some may be said to be VG (Very Good) not because they were ever used, but because they may have been in a collection or drawer and not be perfectly flat. Usually we put Good (if slightly blemished, or taped into a book, or once used, etc.) or Very Good (pretty nice - perhaps never used, or slightly used, but still look nice) or EX, EXCELLENT (Very Nice shape, appears never used) or MINT - (Mint is Mint - almost perfect or better). We are not expert of military, scouting or Red Cross items so what you may be looking for is not what we see. Please keep that in mind.
