Colorstypically darken a little bit on specimens of darker colored phases, especiallyphases that show little or no white striping on the pronotum and/or elytra.This can happen while the specimen is packaged, or during the first two yearsit is pinned and dried. Cleaning the specimen with soapy water and drying itwill restore coloration to a certain extent.
