This striking quilt measures 4 1/2 lbs un-boxed: it is heavy. It measures 84" by 78" and fits nicely the queen size bed used for the pics, which is 80" by 60".
All the stitching was done by hand. The printed fabrics are all feed sacks, as far as we can tell. The red squares were made with fabrics in different tones of red, although almost impossible to notice in the photos.
The pattern is known as Flying Clouds, but each block resembles a Triple Irish Chain pattern.
