I have done a very limited ammount of research and it seems like the pub opened in the 1860's.
Robert Low is mentioned as landlord from t...he late 1890's to the early 1910's.
This is a fascinating piece of social history that would surely benefit from more thorough research.
The jug measures 17.5cm high and 14cm from the back of the handle to the front of the spout.
It weighs 980g
Its in good condition for its age bar a few chips on the inside of the rim.
