I am very happy to be listing a beautiful pair of Vintage WESTON (A) scale VU METER Model 862. Meters have been tested and are in excellent working condition.Meters are also in very nice cosmetic condition as you can see in the photos. (models 862 N4, 862)862 N4 meter has an engraved metal name plate affixed to the face - see photos
862 meter has a semi-circle of frosted glass on window. A small chip on top of meter case - see photos. A hai...rline crack on top and onto front edge of case- hardly noticeable from front - see photos
At 4 1/4" wide by 4" tall , it's that large meter that gave the iconic look to all the classic Vintage Tube Audio Equipment of yesterdays gone by.The meter is illuminated when in operation by two 6 volt lamps . I believe the case is made of Black Bakelite, one of the first plastics made from synthetic components. Dimensions: 4 1/4 Inches wide, 4 inches high and 2 1/4 inches deep.
**** bulb(s) may need replacement-Weston meters are a Classic in the Vintage Audio Equipment category. Still in use and still as functional as the day they were manufactured! They'll give any gear that Classic Vintage look and feel.
The terminals are shorted to protect the movement during shipping. Must remove short before using.
